Dean’s Welcome

​​​Pursuing graduate studies means so many different things to different people. For some, it is a chance to make a novel discovery, or to pursue a passion. For others, it is an opportunity to develop career potential, or to follow a path toward improving the world we live in.

We’ve created the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) website with this diversity of interests in mind. Wherever possible, we’ve included personal stories about our students, staff, and alumni so that you can learn firsthand about their aspirations and experiences, and even take away a few words of advice. We share resources about graduate supervision as well as tips to complete a doctoral-stream program as efficiently as possible.
