Management and Professional Accounting

Program Overview

The objective of the Master of Management & Professional Accounting (MMPA) is to educate future leaders of the accounting profession at the master’s level in management and at the professional level in accounting, assurance, tax, finance, performance management, and related subjects such as management skills and professional capabilities.

Students from any undergraduate background may apply. Advanced standing may be granted. The MMPA program may be taken in one of three formats depending on the applicant’s business or accounting background:

  • a 27-month format by applicants with no such background, or
  • a 24-month format by applicants with some background, or
  • a 12-month format by applicants with extensive, specific background.

Each of the three MMPA program formats includes co-op work terms; each has been approved as an Accredited Program by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.
